Juarez City.- The Northern District District Attorney’s Office, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), dependent on the United Nations Organization (UN), followed up on the “Protocol for the Care of People in the Context of Mobility.”
In a statement issued by the prosecutor’s office itself, it indicates that among the issues that were addressed, is the establishment of principles that promote and guarantee access to justice for this population group, as well as providing the main channels of cooperation between government institutions. of the State, international organizations and civil society organizations that are linked to the assistance of migrants.
The elaboration of the protocol began within the framework of the Global Compact for Migration, registering as a commitment of the Mexican State before the World Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD).
Carlos Manuel Salas, District Attorney for the Northern Zone, highlighted the importance of having the elements to support people in a situation of mobility, who are in vulnerable conditions in the state of Chihuahua.
