The Municipality of La Plata is finalizing details and is about to inaugurate the new pier with rental boats that will be incorporated into the Parque Saavedra propertyan initiative that is already working on Paseo del Bosque and that will add a new attraction to the green space at 14 and 64.

“We are carrying out the final completions to set a date for the inauguration of this new attraction for the whole family,” said the Secretary of Public Spaces of the Commune, José Etchart.

Likewise, from the Commune it was reported that “The rental of the boats will be both residents and tourists” and that the walks will have a duration of 15, 30 and 60 minutes.

In total, there will be ten new boats, with capacity for two, four or six passengers, in addition, the public will also have the possibility of renting canoes to tour the property’s water mirror.

As reported by the commune, the pier is 30 meters long, a structure made with iron profiles, a wooden deck and a sector with a gazebo, tables, chairs and straw umbrellas.

In addition, half of the existing ticket office building has been demolished and rebuilt from scratch, a new roof has been completed and comprehensive painting has been completed throughout the space.

It should be remembered that the Municipality of La Plata had already developed a similar attraction in the emblematic lake of Paseo del Bosque, which became a meeting and recreation point for adults and children throughout the week.
