The body of Felicita Cherre Ruiz, the 72-year-old woman who was missing after the collapse of a house in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Floresta, was found today by rescuers working on the scene, confirmed official sources.

The City Police reported that the discovery occurred around 3:30 p.m., after the intervention carried out by the City Assistance Guard to remove debris with the use of robots and a high-tech crane.

Once it was verified that the intense task accomplished through this operation guaranteed the necessary security conditions, the Special Rescue Group of the Fire Brigade went into action, entering the house to carry out the search task.

As reported by the team of specialists that worked on the site, the woman’s body was located some 25 meters from the main access to the collapsed house, in an area that this morning had been pointed out by the dogs of the K9 division, used in tracking tasks.

In this way, Felicita Cherre Ruiz became the third fatality due to the collapse of the building, since a 12-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy also died, later identified as Gabriela Jamile and Jefferson Aquino.
