Mexico City.- The criminal group that cloned cola generated between 10,000 and 12,600 pesos per day; that is, at least 300,000 pesos a month, according to investigations by the Prosecutor’s Office.

Each box was sold for 200 or 210 pesos and up to 60 boxes were sold every day in street stalls located in the Center, the Central de Abasto and in the municipalities of Chalco and Nezahualcóyotl.

The two detainees during the search in a building in Iztapalapa where the product was bottled, earned 2,500 pesos per week.

In this sense, the spokesman for the local Prosecutor’s Office, Ulises Lara, mentioned that they are in search of the accomplices of the two men apprehended.

“According to the work of the office and field, deployed by agents of the Investigation Police, and according to neighbors, it is estimated that an average of ten people would work in the place, including bottle washers, packers and sealers, transporters and property managers ” he pointed.

Investigations indicate that the containers were purchased at sites where containers and resealing tokens are collected, with garbage collectors.
