Durango.- A man received a sentence of 65 years in prison for his criminal responsibility for the crime of femicide committed against a 6-year-old girl and for attempted femicide against a minor of 1 year and 8 months of age.
This is Luis Erwin Salcedo Alvarado, 31, who obtained the sentence after the events that occurred on May 21 in the City of Gómez Palacio, Durango.
It was the State Attorney General’s Office who informed that through the Public Ministry Agent specialized in the matter and through the evidence provided before the judicial headquarters, the criminal sanction against the accused was determined.
It was indicated that on the day of the events, Luis Erwin was with the minors inside a house located in Colonia Otilio Montaño, when he took advantage of the defenseless state of the victims and physically assaulted them, leaving serious injuries to the minor. 1 year and 8 months.
While the 6-year-old girl was caused multiple injuries that caused her death the next day when she received medical attention at a hospital.
The Prosecutor’s Office added that the man was arrested in flagrante delicto and was made available to the Public Ministry, who integrated the corresponding investigation folder, following the protocol for action in cases of femicide.
Last Wednesday, the Control and Prosecution Judge, through an abbreviated procedure, handed down a conviction against Salcedo Alvarado for 65 years and 7 months, in addition to the payment of a fine in the amount of 454 thousand 639 pesos and the payment of the damage repair for 874 thousand 671 pesos.
