Juarez City.- About 17 adolescents from the Hogar Amor y Superación AC association will celebrate their 15th birthday today.
Jorge Reyes, a member of the Active Club 20-30 Somachi, said that the event will be carried out through the Mujeres en Transformación program.
The club is a non-governmental organization that has carried out programs focused on support projects mainly for youth and older adults for 11 years, Reyes said.
“For us, what was really important was to create or develop a program that could have an impact on the young women of the city. We saw this issue of violence as problematic, and we wanted to see how we could contribute and we decided to work with the victims who are going through sad situations,” Reyes said.
She explained that they worked together with a group of psychologists with whom they developed the Women in Transformation program to help with issues of emotional management, empowerment, self-care, and self-value, which lasted six months and culminated in the celebration of 15 years of the girls of Hogar Amor y Superación AC
He added that to carry out the event there was the support of the Juarez community, which donated the dresses, shoes, accessories, the personal grooming of the celebrants, and the event room was free.
“We launched a call for dresses, donated by people who had already had their quinceañera and who wanted to donate their dress, a group of manicurists organized to give them the service, the same was true for their hair and makeup,” said the interviewee.
The celebration is today, Monday, April 24, in the Cibeles room at 4:00 p.m., and the religious ceremony will be held at the Cristo Sumo Eterno Sacerdote Parish, located on Montes Himalaya street, number 6435, in the La Cuesta neighborhood. II.
Hogar de Amor y Superación is a shelter that houses minors who arrive with problems of emotional, physical, sexual abuse and omission of care.
