This Wednesday, Rubén Moreira, coordinator of the PRI in the Chamber of Deputies, urged that the country’s experts in electoral matters register in the process of selecting advisers for the National Electoral Institute, in order to avoid people remaining in office. incapable.

One day before the registration deadline expires, the PRI member pointed out that participating in the process is even a matter of patriotism.

He called on former Supreme Court ministers, emeritus teachers, former university rectors, people from state electoral bodies, columnists, and political analysts to sign up.

According to information provided by the Technical Evaluation Committee, until Tuesday there were 424 people registered in the process to be INE directors, but only 35 had “validated” the process, without specifying why the remaining 389 had not.

Registration is done remotely, through an account where applicants first log in with their name and email address.

Of the documentation that must be uploaded electronically are the registration request letters, explanatory statement and curriculum vitae.

In addition, certified copies of the birth certificate, voting card and title, as well as a letter with an autograph signature, an essay and copies of articles published on electoral matters.
