Juarez City.- With an exhibition of 30 photographs and old objects from the Mexican Revolution, it is how the Regional Museum of the Juárez Valley (Muvaj) will celebrate its 40th anniversary on April 30 at 11:00 in the morning.

Ernesto Robles, director of the Muvaj, mentioned that this anniversary fills him with pride, since the museum houses objects donated by the inhabitants of the Juárez Valley, in addition to having a space dedicated to his father, Manuel Robles, founder of the property.

“It will be 40 years since my father decides that it will definitely stay as a museum, and it is four decades, it is easy to say. It took a lot of work for my father, and fortunately he was never alone, there was always someone who supported him: artists, intellectuals, ecologists, all of them helped this project and the same community of San Agustín and Valle de Juárez, who already feel that they are theirs. the museum,” he said.

The room includes, in addition to photographs and objects dedicated to the Mexican Revolution, a replica of the car used by Francisco Villa, in which a simulation of the “Centauro del Norte” is driving.

You can also find objects dedicated to Paquimé and fossils, as well as donations from people who have delivered record players, typewriters, a 1960 video camera, a piano, televisions, and other antique furniture.

“My father said that his first objective when he founded the museum was to stop the looting of the historical pieces, both historical and geologically valuable, that were being taken to the United States; Many things that were found in the past went to the United States, so to avoid that looting, that’s where the idea of creating a museum here in the Juárez Valley came from,” he explained.

Robles mentioned that as part of the celebration, it will be used to celebrate Children’s Day with food, sweets and other surprises dedicated to around 90 girls and boys who live in the Valley of Juárez, since the property has been in charge of being a place where families come together to live together.

The Museo del Valle is open every day from 8:00 in the morning to 7:00 in the afternoon, and receives an average of 300 people monthly, although different events are also held inside the place, located at kilometer 29 from the Juárez Porvenir highway in the San Agustín ejido.
