They kidnapped more than 200 covers without customs guarantee at the Urugua-í checkpoint. The load of tires that Customs managed to detect has a value of around 14 million pesos.

The shipment left Puerto Iguazú and was headed to the provincial capital. To check the cargo, AFIP used the scanner located in the Border Center.

As officially reported, AFIP managed to seize 209 covers without customs guarantee on board a truck that was stopped at the Urugua-í control, on national route 12 with the collaboration of members of the National Gendarmerie, dependent on Squadron 13 Iguazú.

The troops suspected that it was illegally transporting some type of merchandise, which is why they proceeded to transfer the truck to the Cargo Sector of the Iguazú Customs and, once there, personnel specialized in handling scanners detected that all the cargo that he was carrying consisted of contraband tires.
