Toluca.- With a strong security device, federal and military agents transferred this afternoon to the capo Héctor “El Güero” Palma from the Altiplano Prison to a hospital in Toluca, for a scheduled medical examination.

A convoy of at least a dozen vehicles from the National Guard and the Army left the federal prison of Almoloya de Juárez at 4:00 p.m., with the drug trafficker lowered his security, and took him to the Adolfo López Mateos Medical Center, of the Institute of Health of the State of Mexico.

Before 9:00 p.m., he had already returned to the Federal Center for Social Readaptation, sources from the prison system confirmed.

“It is a consultation that I had already scheduled for a long time in the hospital or with the specialist, but they do not announce the day and time that they are going to take him, for obvious reasons,” said a close friend of his defense, who did not elaborate on details about the health conditions that warranted the release of the Sinaloan.

Palma was acquitted on April 30, 2021 for organized crime and left the Altiplano Prison at dawn on May 4, but was recaptured and later arrested by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).

The following July 13, he was imprisoned again in the Altiplano, after a federal court revoked his acquittal for organized crime and ordered his re-apprehension in this process, the last one pending.
