The gate ripped off by the thieves to break into the club’s facilities. There are no detainees/day

A Berisso club that participates in a children’s soccer league in that area suffered a triple robbery in just 72 hours. The situation filled its leaders with indignation and promoted the adoption of some precautions to try to prevent these painful attacks from being repeated.

The affected entity is Trabajadores de la Carne, which works at 60 and 143, in the Villanueva neighborhood of Berissense. Participates in the tournament organized by the La Ribera Children’s Football Association League (LAFIR), with boys from 5 to 13 years old in various categories.

As revealed yesterday to this newspaper by the club’s treasurer, Marisa Rodríguez (54), the last of these robberies occurred on January 2, the previous one on the first day of this year and the remaining one on December 30.

“IT’S A JOKE”

The directive then provided a detail about these acts of serial insecurity suffered by Meat Workers.

In chronological order, he cited that “on December 30 we went to the club and found two refrigerators lying on the buffet floor and whose motors were stolen.”

Then he mentioned that “January 1 was the biggest robbery, because they took out an entire window with an aluminum frame and two panes of glass, two long benches, a table and even an electric kettle.”

When the club’s leadership was astonished and outrage prevailed over both episodes, on January 2 they had to mourn a third.

In this regard, the treasurer pointed out that “unlike the two previous robberies, which occurred at night, the last one occurred at 3 in the afternoon. This is how a neighbor informed us, who is also a member of our board of directors. And she told us that security cameras from the Municipality showed that the complete freezer that they brought us was loaded into a Rastrojero-type truck. Although it is a pity that it was not identified who was driving it. But all this is a joke to the club.

He stated that “at least they couldn’t take money or merchandise from the buffet, because we didn’t leave any of that out of fear of theft.”

It also indicated that to enter to commit these crimes “twice (the criminals) entered through a window that overlooks 60 Avenue. We even saw a sheet of glass from the window lying in a ditch in the sector.”

“In the other case, they entered through the main door, on Calle 143,” Rodríguez said.

The economic damages for this sports club are not limited to the material goods that the thieves seized in the place.

“In addition – the treasurer pointed out – they ripped off the protective grill from one of the windows and the entrance door was left completely broken, because they barred it.”

“THE WILL BE CAMERAS AND AN ALARM”

Due to this series of scrutiny at the entity’s facilities, Rodríguez stated that “the Secretary of Security of the Municipality of Berisso, Federico Ruiz, came to see us, and he promised to give us a hand.”

He valued that as a result of the official’s management, “the Municipality of Berisso will put security cameras in our facilities.”

In turn, he stressed that “the club will also contribute to reinforcing the prevention of these episodes, because we will install an alarm system that we manage before an individual.”

On the other hand, the club’s treasurer pondered that “the Villa Argüello police came and showed themselves willing to investigate to try to find these thieves.”

“200 meters from the club there is even a police station, what happens is that surely those who came to rob us three times in the same number of days, surely they must have studied at what moment the patrol car passes before committing a crime,” he conjectured.

THE FOURTH TIME

Asked if there was a history of other cases of insecurity at the entity’s facilities, Rodríguez replied that “yes, last year they also robbed us.”

In this regard, he explained that on that occasion “they also ripped the grate off a window and took a jug, an electric kettle, and some other objects. Also that round they robbed Deportivo Berisso, another club in the neighborhood. Finally, he cited that “on our club’s Facebook, it is asked if someone can help replace what was stolen.”
