A thief broke into the car of Miguel Rojas, the Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop, and stole a bag, an iPhone, credit cards and other valuables, media reported Wednesday.
Rojas was having dinner with his family in downtown Los Angeles after the Dodgers’ victory over the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2 on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles Police Department investigators say that when Rojas and his family returned to the parking lot, the car was totaled and the passenger-side window had been removed.
A bag with an iPhone, which belonged to Rojas’s mother-in-law, was stolen, including identification cards and other valuables estimated at $1,400. The vehicle was damaged but not stolen.
Rojas is a 34-year-old infielder for the Dodgers.
