Last year, Shakira (45) and footballer Gerard Piqué (35) went their separate ways, thus ending their 12-year relationship.
Piqué is said to have now found a new flame, the 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti.
It hasn’t passed Shakira’s house: On Thursday, she released her latest single, “BZRP Music Sessions #53”, in which she ridicules her ex and his new flame.
In the song, which she has with the DJ Bizarrap, she says the following:
“I won’t take you back, not if you cry, not if you kneel,”
AND:
“I’m worth two 22-year-olds”
“I was ‘out of your league’, and therefore you are now with someone on your own level”.
“You replaced a Rolex with a Casio.”
“You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo.”
In the lyrics, Shakira sings that her ex-husband has gone from a Rolex to a Casio, where she allegedly believes he has lowered his own standards. The line is also a clear reference to her ex-husband’s Casio collaboration.

At the time of writing, the song is the world’s most popular song. In just four days, it has received over 42 million streams on Spotify, and 122 million views on YouTube. The song has also broken records, on both platforms.

In a new tiktok video, we see Piqué driving around in a Twingo, on Monday morning. This is the second stab at Shakira, after she came out with her new song.

– Casio lasts forever
In a new one YouTube-video, the Barcelona player has now announced his collaboration with the watch brand Casio:
“Casio has sent us wristwatches. We reached a sponsorship agreement with Casio”.
He also took a jab at the singer, saying:
“Casio lasts forever”.
Casio himself made a comment on the collaboration with the footballer, with a post on it Instagram. Here they wrote as follows: “We love getting this splashed on us.”
