Wireless TVs dominated CES, with some giant options that really make an impression. But one TV stood out from the rest – sticking to the walls like Spider-Man. Created as a starter project, Displace TV features a 55-inch OLED screen that attaches entirely to your wall or window using suction cups the size of your forearm.

You also don’t turn on the Displace TV the usual way, by plugging it into the wall. Instead, swapping out hot-swappable batteries maintains the image for hours.

(For more information, these are the CES must-haves so far, and don’t miss the the wackiest products from CES 2023.)

Along with the display, the system includes a tower-sized enclosure that you plug your devices into. The signal travels wirelessly from the box to the TV. In fact, you can use it with multiple TVs simultaneously to create a multi-screen system – or even a giant TV.

Another new detail? Displace TV does not come with a remote control. Instead, you’ll use gestures to control Smart TV streaming and other systems. There’s also an app so you can use your phone to control the TV.

The back of the Displace TV has large suction cups to stick to walls and windows.

Those big black rings? Suction cups.

Displace TV is not cheap. A system with one screen and the box costs $3,000, while a configuration with four screens and a single box costs $9,000. A typical 55-inch wired OLED TV like the LG C2 costs around half the price of the basic Displace TV. It is also remarkable that LG itself presented a wireless OLED TV its own, albeit much more traditional.

Displace TV says the new set will ship later this year.
