The Star Wars movies will be temporarily set in the dawn of the Jedi and will tell events after Episode IX

The Disney and Lucasfilm event called “Star Wars Celebration”, held a few days ago in London, left as a novelty the announcement of three films in development, release dates and trailers for upcoming series in that universe, and material from the new “Indiana Jones” film was exhibited.

Lucasfilm executive Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that a new “Star Wars” feature film series is in development, helmed by directors James Mangold, Dave Filoni and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

In the case of Mangold’s film, it will be temporarily set in the dawn of the Jedi, the one directed by Filoni will be around the New Republic and will connect the stories contained in the series and the Obaid-Chinoy film will tell events after Episode IX.

Regarding the latter, Obaid-Chinoy said that in his case “will tell the story of the rebuilding of a new Jedi order“, reported the specialized Hollywood media, which recently confirmed that Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) took the role of screenwriter for this film after the departure of Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson.

As for the series, the creator of “Andor”Tony Gilroy, reported that the second and final season will debut in August next year and presented a shipping trailer, still in production, along with its stars Diego Luna and Andy Serkis.

In the case of “The Acolyte”its creator, Leslye Headland, showed the first images of his project and told his series takes place in a time period between the Era of the High Republic and the beginning of the prequel films.

On the other hand, Jude Law and Jon Favreau showed the first trailer of “Skeleton Crew” with new characters centered on a group of rebels traveling across the galaxy, in which Law can be seen with a new-look Jedi with a shaved head.

Favreau confirmed that the series will have episodes directed by the award-winning duo known as “The Daniels” (“Everything Everywhere at the Same Time”), Jon Watts, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chung.

Meanwhile, Rosario Dawson announced that “Ahsoka” will premiere next August and played a trailer for the shipment with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who confirmed that she will play Hera Syndulla in the series.

Finally, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen showed a new trailer for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” and exhibited six minutes of the film.
