This Tuesday the 25th edition of the Gardel Awards ceremony in the Movistar Arena, and in a generational crossover that created great expectations, Thunder took the gold award.

The rapper, whose real name is Mateo Palacios Corazzinawas one of the great favorites of the night along with Dante Spinetta and Julieta Laso, who held the most nominationsand met expectations.

The ceremony featured the Driving Iván de Pinedaand with the live performances of María Becerra, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Trueno, Rei, Callejero Fino, L-Gante, Peipper, DJ Tao, La Joaqui, León Gieco, Víctor Heredia, Amelita Baltar, Raúl Lavié, Yami Safdie, Flor Paz and Silvina Moreno.

Trueno, one of the most renowned musicians of the new hip hop generation, consolidated his mastery of urban rhythms with the Gardel de Oro for his album “Bien o mal”which was presented to him by Wos, the previous winner of this award.

The rapper also received the statuette to the Record of the year for the theme Argentina together with Nathy Peluso, Best Urban Music Album and Best Collaboration for his participation in the theme Sudaka by Dante Spinetta, the other great winner of the evening with four awards.

Spinetta, in turn, won the Producer of the Year awardRecording Engineering for his album Mesa dulce and for Best Rock Song for El lado oscuro del corazón.

Tini Stoessel obtained a single statuettealthough it went to the Song of the Year for La triple T, a category voted by the public throughout the ceremony that took place at the Villa Crespo stadium.

David Lebón was left with the award for Best Album for his production Lebón & Co. 2 and Eruca Sativa obtained the same in the group shortlist for Dopelganga, in addition to winning the statuette for Best Long Video Clip for Seremos primavera live at La Ballena Azul.

Los Pericos triumphed in the reggae sectionBandalos Chinos within pop, Julieta Laso stood out in tango with two awards and Bizarrap in the Best Urban Song for her session n°52 with Quevedo.
