Who in the winter holidays, 02/13/2023 to 02/17/2023, not travelling, can go on a journey of discovery in Thuringia on the doorstep. Numerous facilities invite children and young people to take a look behind the scenes.
The Erfurt swimming pool invites you to take a tour of the technology cellar. During the one and a half hour guided tour through the underground of the pool, children can get to know the technical systems, the processes and all the work steps that are necessary for the operation of the pool.
Digital Treasure Hunt
On another tour, boys and girls from the age of five can explore the Thuringian state parliament equipped with flashlights. In the guided tours offered for the first time, young visitors go on a treasure hunt through the three houses of parliament and learn something about democracy and the history of the buildings.
A digital treasure hunt starts in the Ducal Museum in Gotha. Adolescents and young adults between the ages of 13 and 27 are invited to go on a photo safari with their mobile phones for a whole day – in addition to interesting perspectives on the works of art, topics such as photo editing, data protection and the exchange on social media should also be discussed.
Exciting attic finds
The Gera Natural History Museum invites you to a whole range of holiday offers. In addition to events on beavers and otters and animals from the last Ice Age, a tour of the attic is also on the programme. According to the museum, many of the objects in the collection are housed in the old attic of the Schreiber house.
