What movies to buy?
The Batman + Joker box set
The Batman by Matt Reeves revisits (once again) the story of the Dark Knight. This time, the film does not bother to redo yet another origin story, but goes straight to the heart of the matter and tells us about the first steps of a young Batman. The film uses the codes of film noir to adapt it to a wider audience. One of the best DC films and for the youngest spectators, an excellent introduction to the thriller and its codes.
Joker is a film by Todd Phillips which also revisits an emblematic figure of the Batman universe: the Joker. Batman’s intimate enemy is seen here under a more realistic, but also more social prism. The film is a more or less loose adaptation of The Killing Joke, one of the best Batman comics. Find it on Blu-ray in a box with The Batman at the price of 15 €and on DVD at the price of 10 €.

Space Travel Set: Interstellar + Gravity + 2001, A Space Odyssey
As its name suggests, this box set brings together three excellent films that take place in space. Interstellar by Christopher Nolan is one of the best science fiction films of its last years. A cult work among lovers of black holes and time dilation, it is also a moving story about the family.
Gravity is a film by Alfonso Cuarón that follows two survivors of a space mission in their perilous attempt to return to Earth. It is about the International Space Station, interstellar vacuum and cosmic debris. An ultra-immersive experience for a technically striking film.
Finally, the last of the films offered in this box is none other than 2001, A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick. A film that talks about the origins of Man, the mysteries of the universe, killer robots, extraterrestrial life and God. A timeless masterpiece without which a whole section of modern science fiction would not exist.

The Summit of the Gods + The Red Turtle
The Summit of the Gods is a French animated film directed by Patrick Imbert. It is an adaptation of the manga by Jiro Taniguchi. The film tells us the story of journalist Fukamachi Makoto, who sets out on the trail of an expedition that could change the history of mountaineering. The film won the César 2022 for best animated film, in a ceremony rather indifferent to the genre of animation. Fortunately, director Guillermo Del Toro, who recently won an Oscar for his Pinocchioreminds us that “animation is cinema, it’s not just a genre for children”.
The Red Turtle is an animated film directed by Michael Dudok de Wit and produced by Studio Ghibli. This animated gem is an ode to the beauty of the oceans, nature and wildlife. The film is devoid of dialogue and only the music accompanies the wanderings of a man, trapped on a desert island after the sinking of his boat. A red turtle will be his only companion. Studio Ghibli’s penultimate film is an animated marvel and a personal reflection on the milestones in the life of a human being.

Sonic, The Movie 1 & 2
This is the film adaptation of the character of Sonic, taken from the series of video games of the same name published by Sega. The films are directed by Jeff Fowler and mix animation and live action. Without being cinema essentials, these adaptations are pleasant to watch, if you are players of the saga. For children, the entertainment is clearly at the rendezvous.

Complete Game of Thrones
Game Of Thrones is HBO’s adaptation of the novels by George RR Martin. The series spans eight seasons and the plot is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, as an unprecedented winter approaches, and with it, enigmatic creatures from the far reaches of the North. At the same time, the battle for the Iron Throne, symbol of power, rages. Game of Thrones is a very great series that has been able to redefine the genre of fantasy.

Rick and Morty, Seasons 1-5
rick and morty is an adult animated series created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. It tells the adventures of Rick Sanchez, a cynical scientist, and his grandson, Morty, fragile and easily influenced. Unbridled parody of the duo of Back to the future, they divide their time between their daily lives on Earth and their interdimensional misadventures. The series, which quickly entered pop culture, is halfway between Futurama and South Park and is written by completely freewheeling screenwriters, for a result that is as acerbic as it is hilarious.

Earth
