The fans of Respawn Entertainment have repeatedly called for the creation of Titanfall 3, but the company is currently quite distanced from the saga that catapulted its name to fame. However, recently, a former employee said that the title was not only in development, but was canceled due to pubg.
In a conversation with The Burnettwork, Mohammed Alavi argued that the sequel was in internal process for a period close to 10 months. According to his testimony, the plan showed promising progress, although it was ultimately scrapped and transformed into a different game: Apex Legends.

“We had new technologies for the game, we had multiple ideas going, we had a playable game that felt good, much better, than the previous game,” Alavi explained. However, he made it clear that Titanfall 3 Preview Wasn’t Exactly Revolutionary Compared to the previous installment in the series, it was rather an improvement.
Titanfall had trouble retaining players
During the interview, the former Respawn employee claimed that one of the problems of the series was to maintain a good number of players in its multiplayer mode. According to him, people really enjoy the competitive modes in Titanfall 2, but very few spend a lot of time on it.
“The players said The multiplayer is great, but it’s not something I’m going to play continuously for a year, two years or three years.he explained. With the success of PUBG, the team behind the sequel began trying to incorporate ideas, which led to the project becoming Apex Legends.
According to him, the tests with Apex Legends were so good and attracted so many people, that Respawn decided that the best thing to do at the time was to cancel Titanfall 3. and focus on the new project. While the company has already indicated that it would like to work with the franchise again in the future, that will only happen if it finds the right opportunity to do so.
