Total failure on Spotify

On Spotify Nothing has been going on since about 1:40 p.m. The music streaming service had throughout Austria to contend with a total failure. Most problems arose with 49 percent when using the app, as reports all disturbances. There are also problems with the server connection.

In total, there were almost 800 fault reports at the current time.

In Germany, too, tens of thousands of fault reports were received at the same time. Most come from Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart or Frankfurt am Main, among other places. The majority of users have problems with the reproduction (36 percent) and difficulties using the mobile app (22 percent).

USA and Canada also affected

The same applies to the USA and Canada. Here, the fault reports come primarily from cities on the east coast such as New York, Washington, Boston or Atlanta, as a map from Downdetector shows.

Spotify is investigating disruption

Spotify has responded to the incident and reported on Twitter. “Something’s wrong and we’re looking into it. Thanks for the reports.”

What led to the total failure and when the service will be fully available again remains unclear for the time being.
