The Ministry of Transport together with Trenes Argentinos announced that you can already buy tickets to travel on long-distance trains during June. Ticket purchase can be done online form or in the authorized stations such as Retiro, Constitución, Once and intermediate stations until 6/30.
The sale of long-distance tickets is enabled to travel to:
- Bragado / Pehuajo,
- Junin,
- sea of silver,
- Pinamar,
- Rosario,
- Córdoba
- and Tucuman.
Once the ticket purchase is made, it is essential to confirm the trip between 72 and 24 hours before the departure of the train to get the ticket. This procedure must be carried out both on the way out and on the way back with the same reservation number. Without it you will not be able to get on the train.
Retirees or pensioners will be able to access a 40% discount, passengers with disabilities have the right to travel free of charge by presenting a valid DNI and Disability Certificate and minors from 3 to 12 years old pay 50% of the value of the ticket.
To confirm your trip you will need:
- Have your reservation made, either from the web or ticket offices.
- Your reservation number.
- Your security code to confirm your trip.
Long-distance train tickets: details to take into account
- The ticket is valid only for the day and time of travel stipulated therein. The ticket must be kept by the passenger, and may be requested at any time during the trip by the guard or another authorized employee on the train and/or at the entrance/exit places on the platforms.
- All passengers, without exception, must prove their identity with a valid ID and/or passport when required, as it appears on the ticket.
- Children under 14 years of age cannot travel alone. They must always do so accompanied by the father/mother or guardian, who must prove the relationship with the minor.
- Minors between the ages of 14 and 17 can travel alone, as long as they have authorization, provided by the company, countersigned by authorized personnel.
- Each passenger may transport a handbag or handbag free of charge in the car, plus a bag or suitcase as luggage whose weight does not exceed 50 kg. and whose measurements do not exceed 75 cm high, 45 cm wide, 30 cm deep.
Conditions for the purchase of tickets
- Present the original ID and/or current passport and the birth certificate or certificate of minors under 18 years of age.
- The ticket is non-transferable. In the event that the holder chooses not to travel, his only option is to return it.
- In the event that the online purchase service is used, a maximum of 8 (eight) tickets may be purchased in the same transaction.
- Tickets will not be sold to minors under 18 years of age without the presence of their parents or guardians, who must duly prove their identity (DNI) and the relationship with the minor (family book, birth certificate).
