Gomes, who is called Pitbull because of his aggressive style of play, has already signed a five-year contract with the Wolves.

Bayer Leverkusen also recently showed interest in the strong six, but a transfer never became concrete. Olympique Lyon was also part of the poker and bid for Gomes. Since the French offer was initially higher than that of Wolverhampton, the 21-year-old’s move to England threatened to fall through. However, the Wolves have now drawn level, which means that Gomes’ move to his dream club is now taking place.
