The TOP 5 files of the day that should not be missed

1. PSG launches for Cherki

In search of a creative player capable of evolving on the right wing, Paris Saint-Germain wishes to recruit Rayan Cherki (19), announces L’Equipe.

Followed for many years, even before signing his first professional contract, the young Gone has moved upmarket in recent weeks under the orders of Laurent Blanc, becoming a major element of Rhone training. A track explored and deepened by Luis Campos, who holds the player in high esteem for various reasons. For his talent, undeniable, for his margin of progress, very important, for the efforts made for several months now, but also and above all because the Parisian technical director wishes Frenchify the changing room of the Parc des Princes. With Cherki, much appreciated by Kylian Mbapp, the Portuguese has the ideal candidate.

As such, Paris SG has already sent an offer to the team chaired by Jean-Michel Aulas, last weekend, without the amount of it being revealed. Estimated at around 20 million euros, Cherki, under contract until June 2024, could bring in a significant check for OL, which is not in optimal financial health.

2. Moffi prefers Nice to OM

As mentioned in recent hours, striker Terem Moffi (23) is slow to respond to requests from Olympique de Marseille despite the agreement concluded for his transfer between Lorient and the Marseille club. This Wednesday, L’Equipe almost put an end to this track by indicating that the Nigerian international politely refused the approaches of OM.

A priori, the Hake will not change his mind and indeed gives his priority to OGC Nice, which must outbid in the next few hours with an offer close to 30 million euros (including 5 M € bonus). The Aiglons should therefore pocket the condition that FCL still manage to reach an agreement with OM for the transfer of Bamba Dieng (22), designated successor to the Super Eagle in Brittany. There is talk of a check for 9 million euros for the Lion de la Tranga.

3. Lyon recal by Joao Gomes

Unless the situation turns around, Joao Gomes (21) will not join Olympique Lyonnais in this winter transfer window. While the new owner of the Rhone club, John Textor, went to the Flamengo training center to try to convince the Brazilian midfielder, the American investor failed in his quest, says O Globo.

The media specifies that the young player does not wish to go back on his word given Wolverhampton, with whom he has already agreed. A failure in perspective, all the more painful for the party chaired by Jean-Michel Aulas since its offer was higher than that of its English counterpart (€19m against €17m).

4. Thuram will end the Mnchengladbach season

At the end of his contract next June with Borussia Mnchengladbach, striker Marcus Thuram (25) is the subject of keen interest from Chelsea, very active in this transfer window and who were pushing to attract him from this winter. But the French international will not join the Blues in January. This Wednesday, Foot Mercato indeed reveals that the former Sochalien rejected the advances of the London club and chose to end the season with his current formation in order to leave free in June.

This does not mean that the vice-world champion has definitively closed the door to 10th in the Premier League, but simply that the timing of a departure during the exercise did not suit him. Chelsea therefore, but also Inter Milan, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and possibly Paris Saint-Germain (not interested for this winter): free, the native of Parma will be spoiled for choice!

5. Rennes turn down two offers for Sulemana

A simple Rennes joker, winger Kamaldeen Sulemana (20) has no shortage of suitors. This Wednesday, L’Equipe tells us that the Ghanaian international has been the subject of two offers in recent days: one from PSV Eindhoven (15 million euros plus 2 million euros in bonuses) and one from Southampton ( 17 M€), but the Bretons both refused them.

Due to the unavailability of Martin Terrier and Arnaud Kalimuendo and despite the arrival on track of Lyonnais Karl Toko-Ekambi, the leaders of the SRFC do not wish to weaken their offensive sector in this winter transfer window. But the Black Star would see a change of scenery and a new assault is not excluded by the end of the transfer window, whether it comes from PSV, Southampton or Everton, also in the ranks.
