A new nature park has opened in the American Southwest. Peralta Regional Park is east of Phoenix in the upper part of the Sonoran Desert on the edge of the Superstition Mountains, according to the Arizona Bureau of Tourism.
The park focuses on originality. According to the tourist office, you don’t drive on paved roads, but gravel paths. There are no huts, electricity or running water, but you can camp in designated clearings.
The park has hiking trails that are also manageable for beginners and a kind of “natural amphitheater” for stargazing. The day ticket costs seven US dollars per car.
Three wine centers in Burgundy
Djion. Three new wine centers are set to open this spring in the French wine region of Burgundy. The “Cité des Climats et Vins” promises insights into all facets of wine and winegrowing – in history, culture, technology and terroir – i.e. the special characteristics of a growing region in terms of soil, climate and topography.
In addition, there is a commented tasting during each visit, according to the tourist office of the region. In addition, tours with playful offers for children are planned.
The wine centersdesigned as a cultural and tourist network, will open gradually: the Mâcon site in March, Chablis in April and Beaune in May.
Long circular hiking trail in southern Poland
Bielsko-Biala. A new circular hiking trail through the Beskids is to be built in southern Poland. The approximately 250-kilometer-long path called “The Loop”, i.e. the ring, starts and ends in the village of Debowiec near the city of Bielsko-Biala. The newly designed route along the mountains of southern Silesia uses existing paths and tourist offers and should also be accessible to families.
If you want to hike the whole way, you should plan about two weeks for it. The new circular hiking trail is scheduled to open at the end of May, writes the Polish Tourist Board.
Royal Caribbean begins construction of second Icon-class ship
Miami/Turku. Royal Caribbean has announced the start of construction of a second ship in the new Icon class. According to the US shipping company, the first steel cut took place in the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. The ship, as yet unnamed, is scheduled to enter service in 2025. The first ship in the Icon class already has a name: The “Icon of the Seas” is scheduled to make its debut in January 2024.
Jubilee on the Florida Keys
