One of the urban route operators exhibited in fights with users received two fines that could amount to about 12 thousand pesos, while the other was not located, in events that occurred in Monterrey.

The Institute of Mobility and Accessibility reported that Pablo A., operator of Route 228 caught hitting a user below his unit, will have two sanctions: one that will go from 1,925 to 2,405 pesos for mistreatment of users, and another which will go from 1,925 to 9,622 pesos for carrying out actions that put the safety of people at risk.

The precise amount of the sanctions has not been qualified.

The Institute reported that, in its statement, the operator argued that the user boarded the unit registering his access at the counter bar, but tried to get off because he had taken the wrong branch.

When asked to pay for his ticket, the passenger refused and, in discussion, the user hit the driver, thus starting the fight.

The Institute reported that in the case of the Route 611 operator, they went to look for him, but the offices indicated that Luis M. resigned on January 16, one day after the incident was disclosed.

“IMA will proceed to summon the driver, so that he appears before this authority to proceed with the corresponding fines,” the statement says.
