Trump does not plan to attend the first Republican debate for conducting an interview on the Tucker Carlson show

MADRID, 19 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, does not plan to attend the first Republican debate that will take place next week in the city of Milwaukee to conduct an interview with the former Fox News presenter, Tucker Carlson, as reported by the newspaper ‘New York Post’.

Trump plans to appear with Carlson, whose video interviews go on to generate more than 100 million views, in an attempt to outshine both the party’s presidential rivals and the host’s network, which are in charge of broadcast the discussion.

Trump campaign officials have not responded to a request for comment, but a source close to the situation has told the aforementioned newspaper that the interview has not yet been set.

The former president has teased for weeks that he could skip the debate hosted by Fox, citing polls that show him far ahead of his Republican rivals. The data puts her 39.9 percentage points ahead of his main rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“Many people ask whether or not I will do the DEBATES,” Trump wrote last Wednesday in a message on his Truth Social platform account, adding that “ALL AMERICANS have been clamoring for an extremely high intelligence president. Like everyone You know, my poll numbers, over a ‘wonderful’ field of Republican candidates, are extraordinary. In fact, I’m leading the runner-up, whoever he is now, by more than 50 points.”

“Reagan didn’t, and neither did anyone else. People know my record, one of the GREATEST OF ALL TIME, so why would I debate? I’M YOUR MAN. LET’S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
