MADRID, 15 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Carlos de Oliveira, the property manager of Mar-a-Lago, the mansion of former President Donald Trump, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to four charges related to the case of the classified documents.

The reading of charges has taken place in the district court of Fort Pierce, in the state of Florida, after being postponed up to two times due to the difficulty of finding a local lawyer, as indicated by state law, as reported by the chain CNBC.

De Oliveira, who faces four counts of altering, destroying or concealing documents, as well as making false statements during a voluntary interview with federal investigators, in which he was asked if he helped Trump’s personal assistant Walt Nauta move boxes .

De Oliveira, included in the case at the end of July, is accused in addition to allegedly deleting security images that the Department of Justice was looking for as part of its investigation, as reported by CNN.

Trump stored boxes in various places in his residence, such as his bedroom or one of his offices, although they were also found in the bathroom and shower. The tycoon would have gone so far as to order his assistant to move the papers from one place to another so that his legal team would not see them and even suggested that they be destroyed.

The former president, who pleaded not guilty in a Miami court to 37 counts in the case, also showed pages marked as classified up to two times to various people, according to the investigation led by special prosecutor Jack Smith.
