The meta social media platform kicked off its Meta Summit Mexico 2023, an event focused on the marketing industry, emphasizing the artificial intelligence (AI) used by its products and without making a single mention of the metaverse, for which the company changed its name.

“We must understand that artificial intelligence is enormously changing to what extent and how fast innovation is going to be generated in all aspects of human interaction,” said Marco Casarín, director of Meta in Mexico during the opening of the company’s event.

Casarín warned that the world is in a different environment than in 2020, with an unfavorable macroeconomic scenario, impacts on supply chains and changes in the digital ecosystem, “so the best way to face this crisis is to grow”, according to with the manager.

In October 2021, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, announced the tech giant’s name change from Facebook Inc to Meta Platforms.
