Tucker Carlson launches subscription news channel

MIAMI.- The former presenter of Fox News Tucker Carlson announced the launch of its canal subscription news: Tucker Carlson Network, TCN. He made this new professional stage public through a video broadcast on his X account (formerly Twitter).

“The corporate media lied too much, and that killed them,” he says in the clip originally published on the official TCN account on X.

Those who wish to tune in to Tucker must pay nine dollars a month for a subscription to the streaming. However, the cost is reduced if you pay an annual subscription that costs $72, which translates to six dollars a month.

The controversial presenter asserts that those who want to join his channel will have access to: “the unvarnished truth.”

The content of this chain revolves around the sole presenter; This is what the names of the channel sections show: The Tucker Carlson Encounter, where the communicator will have discussions with special guests; The Tucker Carlson Interviewwhich aims to interview in a question-answer format; After The Tucker Carlson Interview, space in which Carlson will share his opinion on important interviews and behind-the-scenes content; Tucker Carlson Uncensored, a kind of opening monologue like he had on Fox News; and Tucker Carlson Films, section in which to produce documentaries.

Likewise, the channel will have an office space called Ask Tucker.

Departure from Fox News

Tucker Carlson remained for years as one of the star anchors of Fox News; However, he was fired in April after the network reached an out-of-court settlement with Dominion to avoid a defamation trial.

Carlson was one of the hosts who argued that there was electoral fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Fox News subsequently reached an agreement to compensate Dominion with $787.5 million.

After his departure, the communicator remained active by publishing in X his perception on various topics, mainly political and in which he defended his extreme right stance.

Likewise, Tucker took advantage of the platform to broadcast some interviews he conducted, including one with former President Donald Trump.

He has also met with leaders such as Viktor Orbón, president of Hungary; Javier Milei, during his campaign for the presidency of Argentina; Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene; theorist Alex Jones; and Santiago Abascal, leader of the Spanish party Vox.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Tucker Carlson had a salary of $20 million annually at Fox News.

After his dismissal, the presenter accused, in an open letter, the network of violating the contract he had, since his employment agreement had an end date of January 2025.
