Two Dominicans are extradited to the United States accused of drug trafficking

The Dominican Republic extradited two of its citizens to the United Statesafter the request made by this country against them on charges of drug trafficking and other crimesreported the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD).

identified as Aridelso Antonio Polanco Rodríguez and Heison Pena Reina were transferred under strict security measures to the Las Américas International Airportin the vicinity of Santo Domingo, where on Thursday they boarded a commercial flight bound for the United Statesaccording to a statement from the institution.

Polanco Rodríguez was arrested in the province of Valverde, in the northwest of the Dominican Republic.after the request for extradition made by a court of the Middle District of Pennsylvania that accuses him of various charges of drug trafficking.

For his part, Pena Reina -arrested in Santiago, also in the northwest of the country- is required by a Massachusetts District court to answer charges of drug trafficking and other charges related to the illicit trafficking of substances that weigh on him.
