Directly from the pages of Insider Gaming, the well-known insider Tom Henderson has revealed some burning information about what could, presumably, be i next installments in the Far Cry series.

According to what was revealed by some anonymous sources to the editorial staff of Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is currently working on two separate titles: in the first case it would be Far cry 7new chapter of the main series, while the other seems to be a fully multiplayer title.

It seems that, at least initially, these two titles constituted two offshoots of a single game, initially entrusted to the creative director of the series, Dan Hay, before the latter decided to join Activision Blizzard. The projects were then separated and entrusted to Ubisoft Montreal respectively under the name of Project Blackbird And Project Maverick.

Henderson revealed that Mavericks – the multiplayer based project, so to speak – will most likely be set in the cold Alaskan wildernessand will be set up as a shooter with extraction mechanics that will include, among other things, instant death, a contract system and loot chests.

As for Far Cry 7, the details are very few. However, the source confirms that both titles are in full development with the goal of a possible launch in 2025. Contacted by Insider Gaming about it, Ubisoft preferred do not leave any comments about these rumors.

What can I say, we are faced with certainly very important speculations, on which we will not fail to update you as soon as we know more.
