Vargas Llosa is discharged from hospital and "is already recovered" from covid-19

Madrid.- The Spanish-Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa “is already recovered” from the covid-19 that he suffered for the second time and that forced him to be hospitalized in a hospital in Madrid, where he was discharged this Friday, according to his son Álvaro in a message on Twitter.

“As it is already public, my father has been discharged and is recovered,” says the brief message from the son of the Nobel Prize for Literature, who appreciates the attention of the professionals at the Ruber Internacional Hospital.

It also highlights that “countless people have sent us moving messages from many countries these days.”

“Thank you very much to all! A big thanks to all of you! A grand merci à vous tous!», concludes the text of the novelist’s son in Spanish, English and French.

Vargas Llosa, 87, had to be hospitalized in April 2022 due to covid-19 at the same hospital in Madrid, the city where he lives.
