The general secretary of the CGT must meet Elisabeth Borne Wednesday at the end of the day and indicates on France Inter wanting to approach the strike of the employees of Vertbaudet in Marquette-lez-Lille (North) who were dislodged by the police Tuesday morning.
The general secretary of the CGT, Sophie Binet, will “ask” to Elisabeth Borne “to cease all proceedings against the strikers” of the Vertbaudet childcare brand in Marquette-lez-Lille (Nord) and “to open a national mediation with the general management of the group”she said on Wednesday May 17 on France Inter.
Sophie Binet has an appointment today at 5 p.m. at Matignon. “We are going to talk about pensions” with the Prime Minister, “but I’m going to start by talking to him about a subject that was not planned, I’m going to talk to him about the 80 workers at Vertbaudet”she explained. “Not only does the boss refuse to negotiate, but the prefect has just sent them the CRS to dismantle the picket line”protested the general secretary of the CGT.
After almost two months of mobilization, the striking employees who were picketing to demand wage increases were dislodged Tuesday morning by the police. Vertbaudet’s management said in a statement that it remained “fully mobilized” to achieve “to the resolution of the conflict”,
