Hidalgo del Parral.- A strong storm hit the city of Parral and the southern region, leaving heavy material damage to at least 8 vehicles, businesses and dozens of houses, the authorities are already evaluating the situation.

The first reports indicate that at least 8 cars were swept away by the current, two of them near the Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Bridge and the rest in the center of the city.

At the moment it is known that two businesses on Avenida Mercaderes presented flooding since, once again, the sewers were clogged by rubble and garbage.

The security forces did not comply with the indications of the State Civil Protection Unit, which issued the preventive alert from this Saturday.

The road was not closed to vehicular traffic and cars were once again allowed to remain parked on the pavement.

The gutters were also not cleaned to facilitate the discharge of rainwater.

The force of the rain this Sunday once again leaves people affected in their heritage by leaving their vehicles in a risk area.

The water flooded the river bed in a short time and at least six vehicles have damage.

Fortunately, there were no cases of injured people.

The fords were not closed to vehicular traffic since the flood was what prevented them from being able to circulate.

An impressive video has been circulating in which it can be seen how the current starts two vehicles from the river road near the La Peña neighborhood of the city.

The authorities are working to quantify the damage.
