Retired teachers from the province of Buenos Aires gathered this Friday at the door of the Social Welfare Institute (IPS) to make a strong claim heard for the delays in the processing of retirements and the automation of the increases of those beneficiaries who had charges with extended hours. Amid chants and shouts, the protest had some tense passages, while the demonstrators tried to enter the building that had to be completely closed by official custody.
The educators denounced that in many cases the processes of their retirements take up to 3 and 4 years. “We work all our lives and we cannot retire. And the years of delay, in which we continue in service, are not counted. It is a scam,” they said in dialogue with the newspaper The day.
