Sinaloa.- An alleged police officer from Sinaloa was recorded while beating a young man with a board on several occasions while he was handcuffed to a patrol car, presumably in the Municipality of Escuinapa.

“Enough!” “Now!” shouted the detainee who was wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

In a 45-second video, a man in a navy blue uniform and Police insignia is seen hitting the victim hard 10 times with the piece of wood.

“I don’t want you here at the ranch anymore, you’re going to challenge the dick,” the alleged officer told him while hitting him on the back and buttocks.

The recording shows the economic number of unit 3519 and that it had signs that read: “Sinaloa.”

Although it is not specified in which municipality it was captured on video, users pointed out that the assaulted man has mental disorders; Local media assert that the events occurred in the Municipality of Escuinapa, the sixth most important city in the state of Sinaloa, which is located 50 kilometers from the border between this entity and Nayarit.

According to local journalists, the unit belongs to the State Public Security Secretariat assigned to this municipality.

They have requested information from the municipal security unit in charge of Juan Carlos Natarén Obando, where they have been assured that the facts are being investigated and if verified, the agents will be identified and disciplinary measures will be taken.

However, neither the State Security Secretariat nor the municipal one have officially issued information in this regard.
