Pablo Llonto, plaintiff lawyer in trials against humanity, reported this Friday that he filed a request for impeachment against the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Horacio Rosatti, for “mismanagement in the promotion of trials against humanity.” for not having convened the inter-powers commission as head of the highest court, whose objective is to “accelerate” the processes that are being followed for the crimes committed during the last civic-military dictatorship.

“We ask for a political trial for mismanagement of Rosatti’s activities, which is considered a serious offense. It has the function of convening an inter-power commission to speed up trials against humanity, but it has not done so since he took office as president of the Court”, explained Llonto in statements for Radio 10, replicated by Télam.

In this sense, he assured that “trials against humanity should have priority because they are the oldest trials we have” and “they should be faster, but it is the opposite.”

“When Rosatti became president of the court, he no longer convened the commission, which had managed to speed up the judicial processes. We have to be attentive to the mismanagement of the judges of the Court. The poor performance of a judge implies the request impeachment,” he said.

This request for impeachment against Rosatti is added to the complaint made against the president of the Court by one of the victims of the last civic-military dictatorship Patricia Isasa, who denounced that the magistrate, during his tenure as mayor of Santa Fe “protected” one of his kidnappers.
