Shouting and with a firearm, a thief sowed terror in a Pet Shop of 7 between 71 and 72. As reported by EL DIA, the criminal fled with the proceeds but first pointed a gun at the employee and threatened him.
Now the images of how the events took place in the commercial premises “What your pet chews” were released. The man, whose identity is unknown to investigators, entered the place around 10:30 a.m. when the commercial movement began to gain pace.
As seen in the images, the sequence was violent. It begins with the thief, who is wearing a jacket and a wool cap, leaving the motorcycle at the corner and moving on foot to the store. Once he enters, he extracts the weapon from his pants pocket, with which he begins to threaten the employee, who does not resist and puts his hands to his head.
Although the boy gave him the money from the collection, to ensure total submission, the violent thief placed the revolver on his head and forced him to throw himself to the ground. Of course: always threatening the victim that he would press the trigger if he turned around. Later, he escaped on the motorcycle with which he had arrived and parked meters ahead.
“We had had very few clients until that time,” a representative of the firm told this newspaper. At the same time, he indicated that the offender was able to appropriate the few bills that had been in the box up to that moment. “Today, payments with transfers or cards are becoming the norm. That is why many businesses no longer work with the volumes of cash that they used to work with before. Most of the clients pay with electronic means of payment because they consider that it is more practical and safer than spending money. With the apps and cards, cash is collected little or nothing, ”he said.
Despite the fact that it was a fleeting attack, there is no doubt that the defendant did prior intelligence work, since he entered knowing that there were no customers and studying the escape routes. He was also clear about other information such as the location of alarms and cameras, and the operation of the box.
As soon as he set foot in the store, he covered his face with his arm and thus, despite having been filmed by the store’s security cameras, made it impossible to distinguish his facial features. The concrete thing is that he, with the weapon in hand, advanced to the other side of the counter, leaving the employee of the firm with no escape.
