Mexico City.- The journalist Alejandro Villalvazo has become a trend on social networks for leading an intense debate on the menstrual leave proposal that was recently approved in Mexico City.

Well, the television host celebrated that you can only miss it when there is a study that shows that you have “very strong colic”; However, his colleagues made him see that there is no such study that determines said condition, which made Villalvazo too upset.

The reform initiative in labor matters, through which a “menstrual leave” could be granted to working women and menstruating people, caused great doubts in the TV host, which his colleagues, Christian Lara and Mónica Castañeda tried to resolve.

Through Twitter, it was that the video of the intense debate on the subject went viral, since Villalvazo’s comments seemed out of place to many users, this because the communicator wanted to enter and teach his colleagues about a subject that obeys conditions typical of a woman, this in a way that is also haughty.

Likewise, the Mexican driver pointed out that it will be the IMSS or the ISSSTE that determines if a menstruating woman or person requires the aforementioned license; However, his companions explained to him again that not all women have access to a gynecologist and that not all of them even suffer from colic pain or abundant discharge, an argument to which Villalvazo responded with “nothing they want.”

“I am surprised by the attitude of you, women co-workers (…) It is that they want nothing,” Alejandro told the drivers, while they questioned the initiative.

Villalvazo’s comments caused great controversy on social networks where users, mostly women, pointed out him for giving his opinion on something he does not know and asked him to “at least read before speaking.”
