Villarreal want to extend midfielder Dani Parejo’s contract early. As reported by ‘Relevo’, those responsible have submitted a concrete offer. The 34-year-old’s contract runs until 2024, but a clause could see Parejo leave the club for free this summer.

In 2020, the Spaniard switched from FC Valencia to the yellow submarine for 2.25 million euros and has been the linchpin in central midfield ever since. Parejo gave up half of his salary when he joined Villarreal, but in return he is likely to leave the club on a free transfer after the third year of his contract, as long as the new employer is one of the best in the world. Parejo has played all 30 league games this season.
