Twist in WWE. Through a press release, the Stamford Company has officially announced the return of Vince McMahon, reintroduced in Board of directors. Vince was the CEO and Chairman of WWE for over thirty years before announcing his retirement from the scene in the summer of 2022 following numerous sexual allegations against him.

As stated in the press release, Vince’s return will not interfere with the current WWE creative process, managed by Paul Levesque aka Triple H. Apparently Vince would only return to have a say in the matter of renewing television contracts and the possibility to sell WWE to the highest bidder. “WWE has an incredible management at the helm and I do not intend my return to have any impact on their roles, duties and responsibilities” said Vince McMahon. “Today we announce the return to the Board of Directors of Vince McMahon, founder of WWE. We also welcome back Michelle Wilson and George Barrios. Together we will work to explore all alternative strategies to maximize the value of the Company” Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan and Paul Levesque said in a joint statement.

The news of Vince McMahon’s return has sparked a real social uproar with fans starting to worry about the future of the current product. While Vince has promised not to interfere creatively, many believe he will do whatever it takes to return to his position of power prior to his retirement. The of him remains one of the most controversial and discussed figures within the world of American entertainment, and beyond. Blumhouse Television is also working on the TV series The United States of America vs. Vince McMahon, focused on the trial against the patron of the Company. It will be the first dramatic depiction of a part of WWE history. Additionally, it is also the first scripted portrait of McMahon and many of the legendary Superstars of that era.
