Vista Global Holding ( vista), the world’s leading private aviation group, provides a market update and overview of its exceptional performance in 2022, reflecting the positive trends in its dynamic global markets and unprecedented demand from existing and new members.

2022 was another outstanding year for Vista. The group continues to see strong growth in its subscription solutions and services, with revenue up over 50% over the same period in 2021. This was driven by a 74% increase in gross hours sold of the VistaJet program membership in 2022, which was more than that Three times the level before the pandemic and thanks to the signing of three-year customer contracts, it offers great transparency on future demand.

The strong performance reflects another year of record flights across all core markets, despite a series of macroeconomic events, as aggregate global flight growth increased by 28% year-on-year. Regionally, the US saw a 41% increase in the number of flights in 2022, while Asia, Europe and the Middle East grew by 69%, 29% and 22%, respectively. New York was number one for the number of flights during the year, followed by London and Paris.

Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of Vista said: “It’s been an incredible 2022 for Vista, with strong growth across all of our core geographies and offerings throughout the year. Our 2022 results clearly demonstrate that Vista is the premier destination for new and existing members, who are increasingly choosing asset-free solutions. We’ve invested heavily in our global infrastructure to ensure our customers have the best aircraft available, in every corner of the world, backed by the latest technology.

Our strong performance will be supported by a significant expansion of our fleet in 2022 to fulfill our commitment to offer our customers the best deal. The acquisitions of Air Hamburg – the largest private jet operator in Europe by number of flights – and Jet Edge – the leading US provider of charter and management services for widebody and super-midsize aircraft – have significantly expanded our presence in the US, Europe and the Middle East and further solidified our global leadership position. The takeover of Camber Technologies expands the group’s existing technological capabilities to further automate the planning, booking and sourcing of fleets.

As 2023 begins, I am pleased to announce Vista’s investment in Dufour Aerospace that supports the development of sustainable aviation technologies and air mobility solutions with its innovative tilt-wing VTOL and eVTOL technologies and aerospace products, and reaffirms our commitment to a greener future for our industry and our customers.

I’m incredibly excited about the future. More and more customers worldwide are realizing that Vista offers the best deal and the best end-to-end experience, and our expanded team of more than 4,000 professionals is fully committed to developing the next era of innovative and advanced flight solutions around the world. This will further strengthen Vista’s unmatched customer proposition and our position as the world’s largest on-demand provider.”

The expansion of the worldwide Vista fleet was crucial to cope with the surge in demand. In 2022, Vista added 117 new aircraft to its fleet, including even more Global 7500 jets, now 18 the world’s largest fleet of this groundbreaking aircraft and eight new Challenger 350s, bringing the Vista member fleet to over 360 aircraft worldwide. To provide customers with the best possible service over the next decade, the group continues to invest in a major modernization program across the fleet, including the rollout of KU or KA band Wi-Fi on board all aircraft.

In 2022, Vista streamlined its global subscription offering across the VistaJet and XO brands, and the VistaJet VJ25 membership and XO membership introduced. The growing portfolio of membership options ensures that every private aviation customer can find a simple, flexible and secure solution to their flight needs. The group’s focus on integration to deliver seamless global services is further underscored with the launch of Vista Flight Support.

As a company, Vista has renewed its commitment to cleaner aviation and is committed to ensuring that the industry steps up to address the sustainability challenges it faces. Vista continues to advocate externally for the widespread adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the industry, like the agreement with AEG Fuels about the purchase of SAF from OMV at Vienna Airport.
