At dawn today, members of the National Gendarmerie intercepted a truck full of contraband cigarettes.
According to what was reported by official sources of the Force, the occupants of the truck evaded a control on provincial route 19, in Colonia Wanda, but were hit by the uniformed officers.
Inside the semi-trailer they had 146 boxes containing 73,000 bundles of cigarettes and 300 kilos of insecticide, the spokespersons detailed.
The Federal Prosecutor of the City of Eldorado and Customs (AFIP-DGA) Puerto Iguazú Delegation ordered the seizure of the merchandise in violation of Law 22,415 “Customs Code”.
In addition, the two involved were subject to the cause.
