For those who have not yet had enough of the pandemic, there is now a horror film on the theme from the scriptwriter of Scream, Kevin Williamson. It is produced by Blumhouse and directed by John Hyams. In the roles we see Gideon Adlon, Bethlehem Million, Marc Menchaca and Jane Adams.
The story is familiar, with young people in an isolated cabin by a lake who are stalked by a mysterious killer. This time, however, with the Covid-19 twist. Where the use of safety methods such as masks, contact tracing and social distancing according to early reviews makes the film even more terrifying. Exactly how terrifying it will be remains to be seen when it’s released on streaming platform Peacock on January 13th. We in Sweden, however, have to wait. It is unclear how long, but one guess is that it will end up on SkyShowtime shortly, as they themselves have stated that they will provide content from Sky Studios, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon DreamWorks Animation, and Peacock in particular.
