It is expected that in February the main tourist destinations in the country will receive a significant flow of visits, so we will tell you about the documentation and the mandatory elements that must be carried in the car when going out on the road.
Mandatory documentation to go on the route
- National Identity Document (DNI). The driver’s license by itself does not prove identity, that is why it is important to carry the DNI by hand.
- Registry. The driver’s license must be valid, unless the driver’s municipality of residence has postponed the expiration dates due to the pandemic.
- insurance. The proof of the policy can be physical or digital. Payment receipts are not mandatory, but the certificate that certifies the validity of the automobile insurance is.
- Green or blue card. If the holder drives, he must present his green card. If the driver is not the owner, she can present the owner’s green card as long as it is not expired (it expires after one year). If he is, he has to show the blue ID in his name.
- Mandatory Technical Review or VTV. Not having the checks up to date will mean an infraction.
- Patent. It is mandatory to drive with the last proof of the vehicle registration tax (patent). “Last” does not mean the last paid, but the last due, which should, in turn, be the last paid. If the last subscriber corresponds to a period expired two or more months ago, the voucher will not be valid since the tax will be expired.
- yellow card. Only for vehicles equipped with a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) system.
It should also be noted, which are the elements that can NEVER be missing in your vehicle both within the city and on the road.
- Fire extinguisher. It is necessary that it be valid (the charge is renewed every year), that it be properly attached and that it be within the driver’s reach.
- beacons. Yes or yes, there must be a set of portable triangular beacons in the car.
- Reflective vest and first aid kit. They are not mandatory, but the ANSV recommends taking them.
