Within the framework of the request for involuntary hospitalization by the mother of a young man from Eldorado who suffers from addiction to the drug known as stone, the director of Mental Health of the province, Nicolás Aranda, spoke with this medium to clarify how he was carrying that particular case.

Aranda in his communication first mentioned that the young man identified as Cristian, 25, would already be doing his rehabilitation at the Manantial Monoclinic in Posadas.

On the other hand, the doctor provided details of how the care for Cristian was in recent weeks, alleging that the young man would have been admitted by guard at the Samic Hospital in Eldorado on January 14. The patient at that time “presented a picture of crisis due to substance intoxication.”

Two days after his admission to the hospital, they contacted the patient’s mother, identified as Rosa, who mentioned that her son had previous voluntary hospitalizations due to drug use problems.

In the process, Rosa requested the involuntary hospitalization of Cristian and suggested that the treatment be at the San Miguel clinic or in the province of Córdoba.

The woman mentioned, on the other hand, being the only relative who accompanies Cristian, since other relatives have decided to stay away, since the patient committed robberies and thefts to obtain money for the purchase of narcotics. The mother expressed fear that this situation would expose him to greater dangers, putting his life at risk.

Likewise, an interview was conducted in a private space with the mother, who provided administrative data, such as procedures with Include Health, and reiterated her desire that Cristian be admitted involuntarily, since various outpatient and voluntary treatments have been attempted without show Cristian adherence to these.

On the other hand, Cristian was interviewed by a Samic psychologist, who revealed that the young man mentioned that more than a year ago he had his first hospitalization at the Arandú clinic, where he confessed: “I was heavily doped there, I didn’t feel well at all, I finished the hospitalization in Manantial for a few days and then I continued with outpatient treatment”.

In addition, the professional added that the patient in his interview confessed that his consumption began four years ago, after the death of his father, which meant a great blow to his life.

“The idea of ​​the center is to be able to work on the problem of consumption, in a different way,” said Sofía Rosner, psychologist of the interdisciplinary team Vientos de Libertad located at kilometer 1.

“Our vision is to be able to provide community, collective support from the family point of view, to also be able to give company to the mother, the sister, to those who are supporting Cristian,” Sofía continued.

Regarding the objective they want to achieve from their interdisciplinary center, he mentioned: “We want to get Cristian off the street, to do workshops, some physical activity or to meet other people so that he gets out of the consumer environment and is in a more healthy”.
