I had already picked it up when it was activated in the beta: You can now send up to 100 pictures / videos to someone at the same time via the Messenger WhatsApp. Previously this was limited to 30 files. Currently this only works in the android and not in yet the iOS versionif you believe the changelog.
Incidentally, the rest of the changelog for the stable version for Android is rather confusing, because the option to create avatars and use them as stickers or profile pictures has been active for a long time. Otherwise, WhatsApp notes as new that you can use captions when sending documents and include longer group descriptions / group subjects.
