WhatsAppthe most used instant messaging application in the world, will soon have two new features which will make the use of the app more convenient for Android users.
According to the report published on the website of Sam Mobilethe first feature is the option to block a contact directly from the message notification popup.
When you receive a message via WhatsApp and the notification appears at the top of the screen, in addition to the options to reply or silence, the one to block the contact who is writing to you will also appear.
Currently, if you want to block a contact on WhatsApp, you have to go to the app, select the chat, tap on the contact information, and then select the option to block the contact. Some people may find the process too long, which is why Meta is working to offer a more straightforward option.
However, this option will appear only for contacts that aren’t saved on your device so you don’t accidentally block them.
New camera modes
The second new feature offers separate tabs for taking photos and recording videos from within the app. If you want to record a video on WhatsApp, you currently have to press and hold the camera shutter button.
Now, the company is testing a new feature that offers different tabs for taking photos and recording videos. So if you want to record a video, all you have to do is select video mode in the viewfinder and press the record button just once.
The option to block contacts from the message notification popup was detected in WhatsApp Beta v2.23.2.5, which is currently in the development phase. The new camera modes, on the other hand, were spotted in WhatsApp Beta v2.22.24.21, and this feature is currently in the testing phase.
