The White House announced that it will restrict a transgender model from future events because of photos and videos showing her topless on the South Lawn during the LGBTQ Pride month celebration Saturday at Executive House.

Rose Montoya, a model and trans activist, was one of hundreds invited by the Biden administration to mark Pride Month, which is celebrated every June. Montoya shared a video of the event on Instagram that shows a clip of her standing in front of the White House topless and covering her nipples with her hands.

The activist, who was not immediately available to speak with NBC News, addressed the backlash in a video on Instagram.

“I would like to say that first of all, going topless in Washington DC is legal, and I fully support the movement to free the nipple. Why is my chest now considered inappropriate or illegal when I show it? However, before declaring myself trans, I wasn’t?” She questioned.
