The children of the handball club (HC) Lustenau celebrated the fifth season with exuberance during their training.

Lustenau The gymnasium of the grammar school in Lustenau is normally the training ground for the children of HC Lustenau. The training for the youngest of the ball circus and the U8 children took place last Friday, but all 80 children came masked into the hall. The reason for this: the annual carnival gymnastics, which is very popular with the children, took place again. And so Indians, dinosaurs, clowns, flamingos and even a peacock cavorted in the hall.

Carnival fun fills the gym

“Today everything revolves around carnival for us. We have come up with fun games, such as: Who’s afraid of the dinosaur, where there’s no shortage of fun,” reveals trainer and organizer Nadine Peschl. Beautifully disguised Greotlis could be seen there. The sisters Victoria from the ball circus and Antonia from the U8, for example, fluttered through the hall as flamingo and peacock. “The joy of the children is also contagious for us coaches,” said Peschl. A special highlight for the children was the photo box, which was used for the first time this year during carnival training. “We gave the children different tasks. For example: find a princess and take a picture with her.” The children liked it. Numerous photos were snapped and happy faces darted around.

After the training, all children received a joint refreshment. And what is better for carnival than a freshly baked donut with lots of icing sugar on top? “Thankfully, the Pepe Bakery once again served us with their excellent donuts this year.” With a dusty nose on their face, the many Greotlis said goodbye to the trainers and went home happy and satisfied. vs
